First stop - We went to Parkson at Sungei Wang... Plenty of stuff to buy, my wife gotten her self Carlorino's shoe.. My baby Hariz bought 1 piece of junk suit and a pair or short and t-short. I got myself a pair of GoldLion pants.. Next we went to Metro Jaya at BB Plaza.. My wife bought herself a sling bag by Giamax..

We finalise our trip at shopalot.. where my wife bought two t shirt for her brother and and future sister in law.. Here we made a shocking discovery that Nadhirah's new clothes brought from Parkson is missing..... I rush over to there only to be given a wild goose chase by their sales assistance saying that customer service should have it. A total of RM$172.00 of clothes are gone forever... Someone just manage to profit from our losses.. My sister was the one who misplaced the bag....

Apart from that unfortunate event, on the overall we had a wonderful time shopping there.. Its is indeed KL = Shopping Paradise.. with the best bargains....

KL Trip 26-27 Jul Episode 5

The next morning... We had a very good buffet breakfast provided by Royale Bintang Hotel.. Eat our fill and after that we walk by the pool side.. My baby Hariz was so excited to see the pool and nearly wanted to jump right in.. Back to our room we have to pack up for early check out so that we can put our luggages by the reception area.. In the mean time its time to take Bukit Bintang Shopping Centres........ We got three hours to shop as much as we want there..

KL Trip 26-27 Jul Episode 4

After our trip to Masjid India Bazaar... we went to the legendary Petaling Street aka Chinatown. The place was packed with people hunting for good bargains. What an irony.. The sign board state in malay that it is against the law to sell pirated products here but it seem every single stall is selling pirated products ranging from Coach, Gucci, Louis Vitton ...etc handbag.. to Ralph Lauren, Burberry's and Calvin Klein clothings... I have a spending spree here..

Really had fun and enjoyable time here.. But the taxi fare was a bit inflated for tourist.. DARN. We have to pay $ 15.00 each trip to go there for a 10 minute ride.... to and fro we have to pay 30 bucks!! Darn.....

KL Trip 26-27 Jul Episode 3

Right after we reach the hotel, me, my wife, baby Hariz, mum and dad went straight to Masjid India Bazaar.. My mum had her shopping spree.. she brought 10 pieces of fabric for to be distributed among herself and my aunties.... My wife brought one her mum... one interesting act was seeing this old indian man selling putu mayam.. He was so skillful in handling the kueh and the way he repeated the word 'putu mayam' is robotlike.... .. Here my wife and mum had the most enjoyable time as they were the ones that do the shopping....

KL Trip 26-27 Jul Episode 2

The journey to KL was quite smooth.. APART from at TUAS Checkpoint where we were held up in the queue for 2 hours. IT was that long... We reach Yong Peng by 12.15 pm and had our lunch there.. I had Fried Rice with Egg and chicken.. My wife ate Fried Mee with Egg and chicken as well... Baby.. He had his fill with his cereal..
So far so good... no tantrum from baby.. YET..

The jam was atrocious when we reach Bukit Bintang .. We were stuck in the jam for 1 hour before reaching our Hotel.. The Royale Bintang Hotel... not that bad comparable with Federal and Swiss hotel that I went previously.. good ambience and easy access to nearby shopping centres and makan place.. On draw back though.. We started our journey at 6 am and we only reach KL at 5 pm.. It has been a long journey and everyone is quite tired but shopping is just started....

KL Trip 26-27 Jul Episode 1

Saturday, 26 Jul, my whole family woke up at 6 am to go to Golden Mile Complex to catch our coach to KL which will leave at 8 am. We have no time for breakfast... but then we we prepared for it... The bus .. AER 8599.. Not that old but still we could have a better coach.. But the ride is not that bad...

Off we go to KL... with my son Hariz s for the first time taking a coach to KL... Its gonna be a great experiences.

King's Warehous sales revisited

I thought I was early . ... but when I reached there a long queue has already started to snake at the entrance of the factory. That how kiasu Singaporean is. But anyway the damage to my pocket.... $ 50.70. For the following items

1. 4 carton of Potong

2. 2 tub of sundaelicious

3. 2 tub of King's Grand

4. 1 carton of waffles

5. 3 boxes of Mini bites

Worth every penny.. ... .. You cannot get any cheaper ice cream than here. trust me on that

Digging Grave by the road side

Don be alarm with the title of this post... This is just upgrading works going on by LTA. They are changing new PVC pipes for all drain linking the road to the sewers. Precisely this upgrading is necessary to ensure no water logging on the road that might resulted in flood. But the last few days my mum has been complaining non stop! The sound of the jack hammer breaking the concrete is so deafening that my little Hariz has difficulty for his afternoon nap!

I was passing by this car park when I saw two kids were moneying around by the road side. One of them even climbed up the conrete entrance pillar. They are so close by the road side which make this stunt so dangerous. One slip might cost dearly to them as incoming vehicles might not be able to stop on time.

King's Ice Cream Warehouse Sales

Its here again.. Please grabbed the best deal in ice cream sales.. I have been a fan of this sales for years now and every time I went, it always feel that I am getting the best deal of ice cream.. The place is slightly unaccessible but then with these good bargains.. trust me.. it worth the trip going there.....

JB trip and my Dad's New Mini MPV

Sunday was as usual.. Very hectic for me.. Me and my extended family first went to JB for tailoring purposes.. As mentioned earlier, we went to Arab Street to purchase the fabric to make Baju Kurung.. Today, we went to JB and met this Tailor lady named Liya to sewn up their dresses.

My wife require 3 suits that cost her about RM$280.00. My mum spent about RM$90.00 for a long piece.. My younger sis spent about RM$140.00 for her only piece and my elder sis who spent the most about RM$330.00 for 4 pieces of Baju Kurung.. On overall, We spent about RM$840 for 9 pieces of Baju Kurung... I think its expensive but then after knowing that each piece in Singapore would cost about S$120.00, I am sure its a bargain to do it in JB. Worth the wait for about 2 hours when I was trapped in the jam at Singapore Customs...

NEXT.. we went straight to 39 Defu Lane 12, KB Auto Pte Ltd... I test Drive their Journey Mini MPV.

The result.

1. Good Car handling even with no power steering.

2. No noise from Air Con

3. Better Power and acceleration compare to Hafei Minz

4. Second row seats are able to rotate 180 deg.

5. Lower Centre of gravity compared to Hafei.

After prolong discussion with my family... we decided to purchase the Wuling Journey for $20,800.00 for OPC exclude car insurance.. Oh well... due to our ever growing family, I believe getting this car is a luxury but we are not going to take loan for this car.. Straight
CASH so I don think it will affect our pocket that much to maintain the car......

Test Drive Hafei

Saturday, 19 Jul, I went to Sheng Shiong to help my mum with her groceries, Dad and Nadhirah tagged along to Ten Mile Junction. After the trip to Sheng Shiong completed, I mooted the idea of going to test drive for a mini van.... One of the more popular ones are Hafei.. As such we went to Hafei Showroom situated at 55 Ubi Ave 3. I did the test drive and I have ALOT of reservation in purchasing it.

1. No power steering

2. Air con very noisy

3. Poor Handling.

4. Engine noisy.

5. High Centre of gravity.

We were almost wanted to purchase the OPC of Minz but my sister wanted to be a part of the decision making but she is not there during the test drive and as such.. ... we decided to postpone the agreeement...

To think we already had 80 of such vehicle on Singapore roads indicate this Minz is definitely a good choice of Budget MPV for many families.....

We have to decide soon as the bidding will be done by Wednesday this week.

Accessories for my car

I bought my car in Nov 06 and like many other things, after prolong use we need to change worn off parts .. This is all the hidden costs when you have a car... Servicing your car is important to ensure your safety.. But with current economic turmoils... Its getting more and more straining to my pockets but for safety sake we cannot compromise!





My car had a strange problem. The water tank that hold the water to be sprayed everytime we wants to clean our windscreen is leaking... I had to refill my tank every two weeks previously as I am oblivious of the problem.... When I finally realise that the tank is leaking I sent it for repairs.. Currently everything is free as it still under warranty.. The pain will come when the warranty ends in a few months time..





Whilst I am there, I cant resist to replace my worn out wipers and purchase Still plate accessories for my car..



The plastic material on my car door opening is about to worn out soon. So decided to purchase this still plate to cover up the worn out plastic.

My second wedding Anniversary...

Life in Singapore is so fast and hectic that I do not realise that it has been exactly two years since I have gotten married. It seem like it was just yesterday that I was just married. 2 years on, I have a kid, a house, small car and a good job... But anyway back to my wedding anniversary..

I went shopping with my buddy Sean for a wallet for my wife. Nothing fancy, just a simple wallet that does not cost that much... Pass it to her later that day and oh my she love it instantly.. I knew my wife too well.....

We then dash for a quick dinner at Fish & Co at IMM.. Need to rush home to baby Hariz.. We had Seafood Platter for two.. OMG.. The food is too much man.... I had diarhea after the dinner due to stuffing too much food ..

When we reached home that night.. Baby was very cooperative.. He slept immediately as we reached home.. I took this opportunity to play the DVD of our wedding day again and relieve the chaotic but joyful day that we experience exactly two years ago.. It can be really fun watching the DVD again.. Bring back plenty of memories..

Hectic Sunday,13 Jul 2008

The day started when my mum wants to buy some lining for her clothes at Arab Street. We went to this place called Sharvan's. As I am totally oblivious about tailoring, I cant be bothered to know the details.. What I know, my two sis, my mum and my wife spend close to 200 bucks there to get their fabrics.. This does not include the tailoring services that they are going to pay per suit...

Next, We went to Clark's warehouse sales. This sales is quite goood. Plenty of hot bargains. Brand like Clark, Hush Puppies, Obermann and many others for footwear brands. Apparel brands we haven GoldLion, Giordano and Fido Dido... etc.. It was much better than the last sales that we went.

My mum brought - a GoldLion shirt for my dad and slippers.

My older sis- bought three t-shirt for Nadirah.

My younger sis brought - a Polo T for her fiance and

My wife - brought Hush Puppies Sandal and Gold Lion S/S Shirt for me.

It was a good bargain. Really worth the trip there...

Next, we went to Toyogo Warehouse at Toa Payoh. to get some daily household products. You can really gets a lot of stuff there. Cheap and reliable.

Really had a busy day... to top all that, My wife, sis,Nadirah and I went to Bukit Gombak MRT for the Pasar Malam there... Of cos the main attraction of all bazaar is THE FOOD!!. Plenty of food to buy and stuff ourselves with..

Shirin's second cousin's Wedding

Another Wedding Lunch, 12 Jul 2008 at Block 103 Edgefield Plains, Punggol Estate.. The event was held at Multi purpose hall. The food was not bad and the place is nicely decorated. The one thing that makes this event stood out is the irresistable A.B Sheik. A well known Dee Jay from 94.2 Warna. He is so entertaining. The quality of the food shows when my mother-in-law could not even finishes her food let alone going for a second round.... One drawback is the wedding is held on Saturday... So it was quite rush for people who works on Saturday....

Tattoo in 1.5 Minutes

I was fortunate to be among a few who attended my wife's Family Day at their factory.. The Theme - Family Day at the Office is quite unique as usually Companies organised their family days away from office. But anyway.. One of the booth available is doing temporary tattoes.. My niece who was lucky enough to follow me took up the challenge and went for the unicorn tattoo. The tattoist was so skillful in doing his trade.. Very impressive... In 1.5 minutes the tattoo is ready..Do not believe.. watch the video to confirm.

Dinner with Ex-colleagues at KFC AMK

My ex colleague, Kim Leong organised EX-CYCLOSYSTEM dinner outing yesterday, 10 Jul 2008. It was pleasantly surprise that many has turned up for the meeting and we manage to update everyone about whats going on in our life eversince all of us left Cyclosystem. One thing for sure, everyone seem alot happier and cheerful. Let me summed up my frens.

Jaris - The only one that is growing horizontally. Cant really see much differences in him cos I met him recently.

Lawrence - More dashing. Seem like life at DHL has made him to be able to dress smartly.
Khaiwen - Seagate life is really good for him. But seem to have lost abit of weight.
Jesper - Still in love too much with his Nissan Sunny. Love to go to JB and buy petrol to beat the high petrol costs in Singapore. Still as ever fun to talk to..

Siak - The last remaining of us who still remain in Cyclosystem. He just love working there. The only one who has not change significantly from the last time I saw him.

Kim Leong - Can see now.... he is more confident of himself. Definitely has make some progress in his studies and working life.

Peter - As ever.. You will never see him w/o smiling. Late again due to his commitment with customer MAKAN AT Raffles Marina at company's expenses ... so lucky... He has not lost any weight apparently

Anand - The one that shocked me the most.... He seem to have lost minimum 10 kg of weight from his time at cyclo.. It seem that people tends to eat less when they left cyclo.. I wonder why?? Well working at R&D department for HP.. He is having a ball of time at work.

Kok Sua - Recently got hitched..... But never informed us about this good news... Now working at Tuas Offshore ... .Looks the same.. I guess he neither eat more or less after leaving cyclo...

James - He needs to diet ... but he has not gain weight from the last time I saw him.. He need it due to his wedding is coming very soon..... ...... This Oct to be exact.

Than Than - Hmmm she does not seem to age at all ... Even got time to highligth her hair.. Skinny as ever.. Remain talkative and curently still with cyclosystem. Time nearly up for her there as she is leaving Cyclo by the end of next month.... Let me see... .. If she cant find any other job here.. she said that she is going home to Myanmar ... good luck to her.

And Lastly Betty - Seem to have lost weight .. ... .. And definitely look younger... but then we have to agree that all of us age faster if we remain at cyclo ... Too much stress......

That all I had for my EX-colleagues .. All seem to be happy where they are now....

Weight Monitoring

With bet still onz.... My two colleagues pressure me to buy a digital weighing machine so that they can keep track of their weight daily.. As promised i just bought for them a digital weighing machine (not very accurate though). I can observe that they have been at the it for like 3-4 times a day and feel very happy if they manage to lose just 100 g of weight. The heat is on... Its now or never for them to win the $1000.00 BET.. They are taking this bet seriously and I should supprt them... Just this morning I bought a slice of masala Thosai but finishes it quickly before they reach office.. Not to tempt them with the food!!!!..

Hope they win the battle in losing weight!!

Warehouse sales at Aljunied

Just one word to describe this warehouse sale... Disappointing.... Manage to get three tops for my son and some undergarments for my wife.. On the overall.. The sales was not up to my expectation.. As you can see from the crowd, not many people went for the sales on the last day of its sales...May be all the best bargain has been snapped up by bargain hunters during the first few days of the sales.. Let hope for a better sales next time...
