Singapore Science Centre

I had lunch at Macdonald's Science Park and was amazed by the new facilities that they had there. Really interesting to bring your family there for a stroll or walkabout.

The wet playground and the Science Exhibitions in the garden is really well maintain and provide good information. Luv to go there again with my kid!

Hariz gonna own a ride someday!

I was surprised to see my son's eagerness to ride on this motorcycling rides. He usually hates the car, aeroplane and even train ones but hmmm he seem to be attracted to the bikes ones though!! Hmmmm He gonna be a Mat motor someday?? Hopefully not!

Lantern Festival At Lian Hua Primary School

I was at Lian Hua Pri Sec yesterday 2nd Oct 2009. Was there to send Nadhira to her annual lantern festival celebration organise by her school. We were entertained by Sumaiyah's rehearsels for her dance performance later that day! The place was crowded and lively with laterns and other decorations. An eye opener for me!

How cute my son is browsing the newspaper. He just love looking at those F1 racing car photos. Vrooomm vrrooommm. He would echoes as he looked intensely at those pictures!

Hari Raya 2009 with my Bukit Batok Childhood Friends

27 Sept 2009, a bunch of us were out celebrating Hari Raya by visiting each others house. Here was the itenary for the day.

1. 10.30 - We assembled to Hendra's house for Mee Soto Session. Hendra said he was the one who cooked it but I doubt so becos it is very nice!

2. 12.30- We proceed east to Nizam's place at Bedok Reservoir. There, I had Burger Ramly even though there is other food like Nasi Minyak and Ayam Bryani to eat. The Burger was good!

3. 14.00 - We then proceed over to Cik Yahya's place at Eunos. We ate delicious lontong goreng prepared by Makcik. The Lontong was really good!

4. 15.30 - We proceed to Shahril's place at Macpherson for a spread of kueh and tidbits.

5. 16.45 - We then go over to Fazly's place next block for another round of Mee Soto. The Mee Soto was very good! LUvvvvvvvv it.

6. 17.00 - We went over to Choa Chu Kang where the group come over to my place. The Nasi Buah my wife cook turned stale and as a result we have to serve our guest with Bread instead.

7. 18.15 - We went over to Achik's place at CCK too. for a round of Mee fen Malay style.

8. 19.30 - We went over to Jujup's place and watched the F1 race start. We missed the Taufik Batisah performance where he made that blunder in our National Anthem's Lyrics.

9. 20.45 - Last stop - We were at Din's place to have PIZZA!!! Yum Yum..... and watch the end of F1 where Hamilton took the checked flag.

10. 10.30 - The end of our visiting tours... We will definitely do this again NEXT year!

Second day Hari Raya 2009

Guys. Sorry for no photos for this addition as I was too bz taking care of my son and was to preoccupied with other stuff!

We basically start out this way for the second day of Hari Raya 2009.

1. My son was so tired for the previous day exertion that he woke up ard 11.30 am.
2. We arrive at Bedok to fetch my two sister in law and mum in law at around 12.30 pm.
3. We arrive at my wife's grandma's place by 12.50 pm at Tampines.
4. We would then proceed to my wife's aunt's place at Tampines too by 2 pm.
5. We had a quick meal there and would reach at my wife's uncle's place at Punggol by 2.30 pm.
6. We watched a movie there and proceed over to my wife's aunt's place at Punggol too by 4.30 pm.
7. We left there around 6.30 and then proceed over to her aunt's place at Bedok Reservoir.
8. I Send my wife's family back to Bedok by 7.30 pm and then proceed over to bukit batok, my parent's place
9. By then my aunt and uncle is already there and we had a short chat before we go over to my elder uncle place also at buki batok.
10. We proceed over to my other elder uncle place at bukit batok too!
11. Before we end the day at my aunt's place at bukit batok as well.

A total of 8 house visitation we manage to do onthe second day. By then everyone is tired! I have to more days of holiday and will make the best of these off days to recuperate from these exertions!

First day Hari Raya 2009

20 Sept 2009. The first day of Hari Raya.

1. Was up by 7 am to go to mosque for Hari Raya Prayer.

2. Make way to my in law's place by 10 am.

3. Went to Bukit Batok to my parent's place by 2 pm. My aunt and cousin was there at my parent's place and we did the Hari raya stuff - asking for forgiveness and to start anew.

4. Went to my aunt's place at Bukit Batok around 3.30 pm.

5. Proceed to my eldest uncle's place also at Bukit Batok by 4.45 pm( By then we have 4 cars convoy with at least 25 people moving together for visitation)

6. We proceed to my grandma's place at Choa Chu Kang by 6 pm

7. We then proceed to MY PLACE at CCK too by 7 pm. There, I ordered four Canadian pizza for my guest to consume! I ordered Peperoni, Singapura Special, MEat Lover and Hawaiin Pizza to the delight of my guests! Every where eat rendang and Ketupat.. My place its time for a change!

8. We left my house by 8 and reached my uncle's place at CCK who had just being discharge from hospital after a throat surgery and left there by 8.30 pm.

9. We then proceed to my cousin's place at CCK too by 8.45 pm.

10. By 9.30 we went over to my mum's cousin's place at CCK too.

11. We left there by 10.15 pm and would then proceed over to my Cousin's mother in law's place by 10.30 pm.

12. By 11.30 pm we left there and proceed to my cousin's place at Bukit Panjang!

13. Finally we come back to bukit batok to my parent's place for one last visitation!

What a day! A Total of 14 places went on the first day of Hari Raya! It was that hectic!

Simpang Renggam Excursion

16 August, My family with my Obek Limah's family went to Simpang Renggam for kuih buying expedition. I have never been there before. We took the North-South Highway towards KL and exit at Simpang Renggam. The tol costs ard 20 malaysian bucks to reach there from Spore customs. The place was packed by Sporeans who went there by coaches. We had our field day buying all the kuehs and cookies for Ramadan and Syawal! It an hour ride from Spore. Kinda far but the cookies, kuehs and cakes are of high quality but incredible low prices! Would want to go there again!

Pastamania at Lot 1

After the doctor appt at Kidslink, we went over to Lot 1 Pastamania for dinner. It was my first time there. The food is not bad and the serving is just right! The atmosphere was ok but was surprise that the joint is a self service. Oh well .. the thing about self service is that its make you feel more at home!

Gallop Stable at Pasir Ris

National Day, We were with Jujup and family to Marina Barrage for a picnic. Then we went over to Gallop Stable at Pasir Ris where the kids went for Pony rides.. We then went makan at Simpang Bedok before we make a detour to Airport Terminal 3 for a tour... There Akeef becomes a Merlion and Jujup's clothes are stenched with his vomit.. Hiaz...... But it all for good fun!

Harvey Norman Expo Sales

8 August, We went over to Expo warehouse sales featuring Metro and Harvey Norman. My mum brought a Philip Blender for $52.00. There is a cheaper alternatives but this blender has more features which include blending of ice and blending of spices nuts.

8 August - A trip to Sungei Buloh.

My family and I went for a trekking trip to Sungei Buloh. The place has changed alot since I went there in 2003. Definitely for the better! My son, fresh from his toe injuries was making a fuss and was sweating throughout the trek. But we had plenty of fun... Plenty of Monitor lizards.. Squirrel and, flying fishes and of cos BIRDs to watch! Nice place to sweat it out!

Pizza Hut at Harbour Front

24th Jul 2009. I was with my Poly mates at Harbour front for a dinner gathering. The first Venue to Marche has to be scrapped due to over crowded there. In the end we have to settle for a place at Pizza Hut. The food was quite good! in fact we had a good dinner with the set meal. Five course set meal that course only $12.90 ++. It was really filling and worth every penny! Great Dinner with Great company! Last one was on April. In Jul we met again and inf this trend follows, we will meet again in October rite?

Johor - 2nd day at Mersing

We started off the second day with watching the sunrise at the pool side. My son and Nadira then went off for a dipped in the swimming pool. Around 11.00 am we check out from the hotel and went straight to the town centre for a shopping spree. We would then went for lunch at KFC. One unique dish that Malaysia's KFC provided is the Chicken rice with crispy chicken! The rice was very nice! We went to Masjid Jamek Mersing which was another monumental site that you must go if you ever goes to Mersing. One last Shopping was done at Tunas Manja - a Pasaraya situated at the outskirt of Mersing town before we proceed back to Singapore!!! The road trip was wonderful. We all had plenty of fun but of cos it does hurt our pockets as well.. Hehehehe. Great trip!

Johor - 1st day at Mersing

18 Jul 2009, I was off to Mersing for a road trip with my family. My wife, son, my parents and two sisters took the Wuling mini MPV there. The journey took us 2 hours to reach Mersing from Johor Bahru. After breakfast at Aliff restaurant, we set off for our journey. We reach there by 10.30 am and check into our hotel - Raja Villa Hotel and Resort. Immediately after we check in, Nadira and Hariz had a dipped in the Hotel's swimming pool. Close to 12.30 pm, we set off to the Legendary Air Papan Beach. The beach was scenic! The water is very cleaned and the beach apart from some litter was very nice. We had lunch there at Medan Selera Nusantara which kinda disappointing. We are then off to the Mersing town to do some shopping. We stopped over to the Galeri Keropok and brought many food stuff there. Then we proceed to Pasaraya Kini. We spend approximately 2 hours here to shop! Plenty of great bargains we could buy here! We went back to the hotel to relax around 6.30 pm and left again for dinner at Sally's Place under the recommendation of the hotel Staff. OMG the food was out of this world! It was GREAT! Great first day at Mersing!!!

My wifey's cousin's Wedding

12 Jul 2009, we were at Hougang CC, attending my wife's cousin wedding. We were greeted by some familiar faces and were soon after seated to savour on the food available. The food was great! We have Nasi bryani, Ayam masak merah, Dalcah among a few and also desserts as well! The food was quite delicious and the palace was nicely decorated. The decoration for the National day seem like blend nicely with the wedding decorations! The place was buzzing from live music by some Arabic band. Plenty of Arab songs were heard! Great food and great ambienced!
