My wifey's cousin's Wedding

12 Jul 2009, we were at Hougang CC, attending my wife's cousin wedding. We were greeted by some familiar faces and were soon after seated to savour on the food available. The food was great! We have Nasi bryani, Ayam masak merah, Dalcah among a few and also desserts as well! The food was quite delicious and the palace was nicely decorated. The decoration for the National day seem like blend nicely with the wedding decorations! The place was buzzing from live music by some Arabic band. Plenty of Arab songs were heard! Great food and great ambienced!

Trip to the Airport

I was been asked by my mum to ferried them to the airport. My cousin who has never been to Singapore is arriving from Kuala Lumpur. We went to Terminal 1 and 2 for a sight seeing. Was surprise to see the check in counter for Etihad Airline. Those with business class tickets are welcome with RED CARPETS. So interesting to know that! First class customer service! But anyway we went up the sky train to commute in between terminals. Called me suaku as this is my first ride on the sky train.. HEHEHE.. We would then go off to Marina Barrage for another sight seeing....

28th Jun 2009 - Last day at Langkawi Island

The final day of our trip to Langkawi was a short one. Our flight is scheduled at 10.55 am and such we need to be at the airport by 9.30 am for check in purposes. The airport was rather small compared to Singapore three terminals but definitely do have a touch of style and likability of the place. We arrive back to Singapore at around 1215 pm and thoroughly enjoyed our trip up to Langkawi Island! One day I will be back!

27th Jun 2009 - Third day at Langkawi Island

The third day started very early. My wife and I wanted to see sunrise by the beach. But when we get there, we realise that the sun rises on the opposite side of the beach. But the view was quite remarkable! The moment we stepped out of the resort, we went over to Laman Padi Langkawi. Here we manage to know how rice was being cultivated. Interesting since I have been eating rice almost the whole part of my life but I do not even know how it was grown! After a that we went ahead to our main plan! Shopping! We arrive at Langkawi Fair Shopping Centre. The mall was taunted as the biggest shopping mall in Langkawi but when we get there.. It is only a third of the size of West Mall. I guess Singapore do have one of the largest Shopping area in the world! We went to the town Kuah and had a shopping spree. Later that night.. we went over to Syamieza Seafood Thai Cuisine for dinner! This is gonna be our last nite here.. So fast and our holiday gonna be coming to and end soon!

26th Jun - 2nd day at Langkawi Island

We started the day abit late today due to exertion we had yesterday. The first thing we did when we are out of the hotel was to go to the Oriental Village. Here is where we took the cable car and went to the top of Bukit Mat Cincang. The view up there was wonderful. Got the chance to be on the skybridge too. The wind was quite strong when we walked through the bridge and can feel the bridge is swaying uncomfortably! Next we went to Air Hangat pond where we can soaked our legs into the hot spring water. Unfortunate the place is undergoing huge renovation and such we can see the pond in a dire state! We then proceed to Plaza Langkawi for a late lunch at Arabica Feast. The food is ok but the most expensive we had here! Finally, we went to Dataran Lang to take photos with the eagle status. This status is what the merlion are to Singapore! It is huge and magnificent!

25th Jun 2009 - Langkawi Island

25th Jun 2009, My family and I, together with my mother-in-law with her sister's family went to Langkawi for a four day tour. We took the air-asia and stayed at Langkasuka resort during our stay there. The first day there was rather hectic with activities. We went to Makan Mahsuri and had dinner at his Meda-selera Nelayan - a eating joint highly recommended by the show - Jalan jalan cari makan! In between, we were able to take a dip at the beach resort!

First trip to Marina Barrage

After dinner, we went to visit Marina Barrage. The state of the art damn that was built by Singapore to constuct a man made reservoir within the city area. The place was impressive and I was told that it won several awards.. So proud of Singapore!! Great place for couples to enjoy a quite time together. But also nice for families to have picnic there as there is water playground for the kids to play!!! Interesting Place!

Father's day celebration at Sakunthala's Food Palace

We had an early Father's day celebration at Sakunthala's food palace. The food was spicy and delicious. The place at 60 Racecourse road look poised and nicely decorated but I guess due to the tasty food.. the ambience does not need much effort to put in.. We ordered many indian food as well as Chilli crabs.. was surprise they have that there as well.. There you can find Khulfi - middle eastern ice cream as well which I tried but I think I prefer the real ice cream and ice kachang compared to that.... The total bill was $ 116.00 buck which i considered reasonable for a group of 8 people.. Highly recommended to anyone who wishes to try Indian food!!! Like what Suhaimi in the ad,.. Tak boleh Angs......

My cousin's Wedding Reception 7th Jun 2009

7th Jun 2009. My Aunt's place was to be change into a dining hall for all guests of the wedding. A huge tent was put up and table and chairs we arrange for guests to sit in.. What a joyous occasion with the decoration in red and white themes.. The ceremony was threatened by heavy rain but when the groom arrives the sky had clear a bit and the procession was able to be continued.. It was a great wedding with the place buzzing with ppl eating and catching up with friends and relatives that you can only see during this kind of events.. If you know what i mean... HEHE.. I had a great time there but my son was so handful that I cant do more than juz taking care of him... Hiaz.....

A dip in the Swimming pool

7th Jun 2009, After a not so interestign breakfast we went for a dip in the Hotel Swimming pool.. The pool is small and in the wee hours of 9.30 am we are rushing to hit the pool as we need to be at the wedding by 12.00 noon. So we had a quick dip with my wife trying out her new swimming gear,.. Hariz had fun too.. Darn I left my swimming gear in the hotel room.. I need to get a new one soon.. I luv that swimming gear man!!!!

A nite stay at Crystal Crown Hotel

I was attending my cousin's wedding in JB adn we need to stay a nite somewhere. .So we check into this hotel - Crystal Crown Hotel near my aunt's place.. The room is comfortable, and the ambience of the place is cosy but when we had breakfast at the Chatter Corner Cafe.. it was such a disappointment man!!!! The food is nothing sort of hotel liek quality and the buffet breakfast had limited choices.. What a letdown.. But I guess we have to be less fussy as the price of one nite stay is as cheap as RM$ 178.00 for a standard room.. thank god it was of that kind of pricing.. Or otherwise it would kinda frustrating to eat that kind of breakfast quality.. Hiaz.. But nice stay there though apart from the food!!!!

Hennai Ceremony for my cousin's wedding

Saturday, 6th of Jun 2009. I was at Jln Utama, Kampung Melayu Majidee JB for my cousins wedding. That night was scheduled for her Henna Ceremony. I am really not sure how is this ceremonyw as conducted as in Singapore we seldom practise this anymore. In summary, ppl will come in front of the couple, takes an egg and showed it on the coouples face, followed by throwing of paddy on to them. If I am not wrong , it is kinda a blessing for the couple for a long lasting married.. I need to do more research on this man!! Irregardless of my ignorant for this ceremony.. One thing for sure we had fun....

Baozhu's Wedding at Sheraton Towers Hotel

31 May, 2009. My family and I was at Sheraton Towers Hotel for Baozhu's wedding banquet. Baozhu's has lost ALOT of weight for her wedding. OMG How did she did that. But anyway. The food was ok at the beginning but towards the end when I am totally full, the main dish I cant barely touch as it consist of rice and mutton chops. Looks good but too full already! My baby Hariz was so naughty and he do not want to sit on his baby chair!!!! Hiaz.. Have to think twice next time if I want to bring him along for any more of these weddings!!!!! Great Wedding!

Iman's Engagement!

We had a small celebration for my cousin's Engagement. From Bukit Batok to Punggol. 23rs May 2009, my cousin was to be engaged to his gf.. Khadijah... My parents with some of my makciks and paciks were on hand to be involve in his ceremony. The cake that you can see was sponsored by yours truly... Nice rite?

Lorry crash on to the pavement

STOMPer MH saw this accident along Jurong Port Road at about 7.30 today (May 23), in which a lorry had apparently gone over a pavement and crashed into a drain.He said:"I was driving along Jurong Port Road this morning (May 23) at around 7.30 am when I saw this crash."The location of the crash was between the intersection of Jalan Terusan and Jurong Port Road."A lorry crane was there to lift the crashed lorry but I believed it was unsuccessful because when I returned to the location after sending my wife to work, the lorry was still in its original position and the crane lorry had left."They might have difficulty in lifting the crashed lorry."
