Oil Rigs the REAL Thing!

I was around Pandan, When I manage to get a glimpse of the construction of an oil rigs. These rigs are magnificent structures and are known to withstand strong waves and hurricanes in the middle of the sea. The weather there is so ardous and cant believe such a tripod structure can withstand those environment tortures!!! A sight to be amazed!

Rainbow galore

I was blurry and sleepy.. 25th Feb 2009 around 7 pm when there is a commotion at the corridor of my mum's place at Bukit Batok... At the same time I received a sms from a friend about seeing double rainbow at where she was then... Hmmm I looked over the window and saw the beautiful rainbow!! It was definitely a beautiful scene. Great!! Quickly grabbed my hp and snapped a few photos of it.. One regret.. my hp camera lense is too small to take the whole rainbow in one shot!! Muz get myself a nice digital camera next time!

False Alarm at my Block 239 Bukit Batok

I was at my mum's place when someone gave SCDF the false alarm of a fire. Here is the reported case that I have sent to STOMP.

STOMPer MH was shocked when he saw firefighting vehicles outside his HDB block. However, he soon realised that there was no fire and felt annoyed by the person who raised this false alarm.

He says:"I took this video clip showing some of the emergency vehicles leaving the premises after discovering the false alarm.

"Around 6.45pm yesterday (January 8), I realised that a few police cars and a fire engine had arrived at Block 239, Bukit Batok East Ave 5."I was surprised and shocked as there were no apparent signs that there was any emergency at my block.

"No smoke or commotion within the neighbourhood before the emergency vehicles arrived."Firemen combed the area and even went to the address of the alleged fire but it was all a false alarm.

"An advice to everyone, please do not abuse our emergency lines."Somewhere out there, we might have a real situation that requires their assistance."

When contacted, SCDF confirmed that it had been a false alarm.

Says the spokesperson for SCDF:"We received a call around 6.30pm."One fire engine, two fire bikes and a red Rhino was deployed to the scene.

"Upon reaching the location, we did not find any fire."

Vandalised Wall

Who can be so irresponsible to leave their palm print on this wall.. The set of hand print is really an eye sore to see. The whole block was re-painted recently and someone hand is so itchy and has to do this prank! WHAT AN EYE SORE

See thru toilet at Speaker Corner

I saw this post at Singapore Seen and was appalled at the see thru toilet that was built nearby the speaker corner... It have to be renovation mistake.. Or someone is trying to be funny to put such glasses especially for Ladies toilet!!!

What a Plastic Bag!

My family and I went to Woodland Centre for a shopping session last Sunday, 11 of Sept.

At one of the shoe shop, my niece, 8 years old brought a pair of shoes from one of the shops.

There was nothing unusual about the plastiv bag that was used to hold the shoes until I had a better view and was appalled to read on its print.

Are these plastic bags allowed to be distributed with such printing ?
