Collect my dad's new Mini MPV last Friday. For a car make in China.. this Wuling Mini MPV Journey looks a bargain. With basic necessity to move a crowd up to 9 people.. I believe Journey has meet its purposes. Let me summarise the performance of this MPV.
1. Pick up is slow but smooth.
2. Engine sound is not insulated and as such you can hear the rummbling of the sound below your seat.
3. Exterior design is compact and van-like.. make it very presentable.
4. Air con is silent and efficient in bringing the temperature down quickly.
5. Audio system.. Ony the driver and front pessenger can hear the system.. Need to install speakers at the back to allow sound at the back as well..
6. Handling is quite comfortable even w/o power steering.
7. Top speed currently I manage to get up to 110 km/hr
8. Spacious interior with rotatable middle seats.
That all I have for now.. Will update more about the the MPV ones I have more updates Afterall I have only drove it for two days...

The car performance.
What I like.
1. for 1051 cc, the pick up is quite good!
2. The slick design is comparable to Suzuki APV, nice and compact.
3. Even though there is no power steering, turning is quite effortless.
4. Good Air conditioning system.
What I dislike..
1. Engine noise at lower gears. CAn be deafening..
2. Fuel consumption for a load of 6 ppl averages around 10-11 km/L. I was expecting more...
3. Changing of gear from 3rd to 2nd gear can be a bit problem.. U need to get used to the positioning.
In conclusion... The car is value for its money.. You cant get anywhere for $ 22K for the minivan even though now Hafei Minz you can get for 15K with insurance... It is really affordable!

same here. Will like to know more of this vehicles. Does it come with the necessary safety feature. Like the airbag and ABS. How does the braking system feel.

Hi Bryan,
The safety features are add on basis. You could ask for air bags and abs braking but you got to pay for it.
The braking system for Wuling is quite good I have to say! It definitely quite safe in there provided you drive it carefully. eventually it has higher centre of gravity and you have ot take that into account when you do cornering.

Erm okie thanks lots for the info as its rather hard to wait for the parts to come as every time service or things spoilt off need to wait couple of weeks before its back to life

i searched online and didnt find any wuling showroom available.
I heard about this brand in China and would like to know if I can buy Wuling in Singapore.
I GOT IT IN 2008. KB Auto was the aurhorised distributor in SINGAPORE. Now, in Singapore have less than 60 Wuling left. Price of COE so high now everyone buys BMW and Merc.
I am not sure KB Auto still selling them.

I still have the van! One more year left before the COE expire! Braking is a big issue for ALL Wuling Van and so I do not recommend you to drive up Genting! Very dangerous!

Brake brake brake ... always braking issue. Apart from that.... Gear box was an issue... the rest not a major issues...
