What a Narrow escape!

The time was 7.40-7.50 pm, yesterday.. 28 Aug 2008. I was cruising at PIE first lane at around 80 km/hr.. A Toyota Hiace Van was travelling on the second land at around 70-75 km/hr.. I was gaining distance slowly towards the van when.. A Subaru WRX and a if I am not wrong Honda Civic was racing each other on the third slow lane. The Civic had an upper hand and zoomed pass by the WRX within the third lane.. That Stupid WRX Driver was too engrossed in catching up with the Civic that when he switch to the second lane, his distance was too near to the Hiace Van and the WRX side door hits the van front. The van hits the brake and swerve in my path. The centre of gravity of the van is way to high for this kind of speed and as such the van flipto its sides. Sparks can be seen as the van side body drags through the tarmac of the road. all this while I was noticing the event unfolding in front of my eyes. As soon as the van flipped and slide in my lane I hit the brake.. DAMN HARD...

That sequence of events which lead to the whole of traffic from PIE to a standstill. I was lucky that my speed was not fast enough and was in the nick of time to hit my brakes.. If the van had flipped right on my car.. I am not sure what is the consequences going to be..

This whole event I believe the WRX driver was totally at fault. He is such a reckless driver and involve in car racing at the peak hours of the day.. Totally uncalled for.. So irresponsible of him to do such a thing.. For me .. it was liek watching movie of a high speed car race that end up in a car crash but this time it happen LIVE..

PLEASE DO NOT INVOLVE IN SPEEDING AND CAR RACING AT ANY POINT OF TIME!!!

A wet picnic... at East Coast

It was a wet Sunday.. But undetered, my family headed for East Coast for a picnic... The weather was promising enough initially as the sky hold on.. Just as we had set up our tent, the rain fell.. fifteen minutes later the rain stop and half an hour later the rain started again.. It was quite disappointing that the rain was ruining our picnic. But then my son Hariz did manage to play with the seawater.. He was so excited playing with water....

My baby Hariz has finally started to teething.. He has been salivating alot and prefer to nibble and bite items instead of sucking his pacifier.. I believe this is a common signs that the baby is teething.. Now await for him to start crawling and walking!!!

Great World City Gents

I was having lunch with a friend of mine at Great World City and was abit og high tide. Went in to one their toilet and had a wondeful surprise. The toilet is design with the WILD WILD WEST theme. With paintings of cowboys and even a bar miniature. Very interesting. It makes my trip to the toilet more interesting definitely.

Baby Hariz Unhurt

Believe it or not.. My baby Hariz fell from this sequence of steps while sitting on his walker.. Luckily there was a big cushion that was blocking the entrance. As he pushes the cushion down the staricase, he follow suit.. He landed on the cushion and his walkerfel down to the ground below. As what my wife mentioned, he was smiling and laughing as he landed on the cushion. It was a close shave that he escape unhurt. As a result.. I have purchased this toddler gates to prevent that incident from happening again!

Jumali's boy 1st Birthday

I was at The Island Resort, East Coast for my friend's son first Birthday. The event was nicely plan and plenty of food to savour upon. The main attraction.. Cutting of the cake.. Barney cake.. Simply nice .. and the cake is wonderful as well..

Would I have a birthday celebration for my own son??? mebbe not... He is too young to understand this... Mebbe when he is sligtly older than we can talk about celebrating his bday with his friends....

This is quite an unusual sight. Seeing several cars transported by this type of trailer is common. But seeing it parked at a pump station and the driver is busy pumping petrol into the transported vehicle is something new to me.

My neighbour's son Wedding

I was at my mother's place.. Bukit Batok, Blk 239.. The same venue where I had my wedding.. But this time its my neighbour's son that is getting married.. Quite and event... with the food.. have to comment something abou tthe food. The sambal chicken is way too hot... and the black pepper prawn has much less salt that I expected.. But on overall.. The wedding is a great success with so many people from all walks of life came... Met my good buddy Abg Nasa there... The void deck was nicely decorated and the nostalgic feeling of my own wedding two years back came back to my mind..

JB trip to Angsana

My Family and I went to JB to collect the tailored clothes that we went earlier... After my sisters, wife and mum tried their tailored baju kurung, we make our trip to Angsana Shopping centre... It was suppose to be a trip to buy ready make curtains for Hari Raya but the designs this time round are not impressive enough.. As such we decided to get these curtains at Geylang once the Bazaar is open...... So we actually have a family trip to JB using our new Wuling Journey MPV.. not much hassle as we enjoy the ride... Next stop.. We are planning to go to Malacca for a short trip there.. Stay tune for updates..

Wuling Mini MPV Journey

Collect my dad's new Mini MPV last Friday. For a car make in China.. this Wuling Mini MPV Journey looks a bargain. With basic necessity to move a crowd up to 9 people.. I believe Journey has meet its purposes. Let me summarise the performance of this MPV.

1. Pick up is slow but smooth.

2. Engine sound is not insulated and as such you can hear the rummbling of the sound below your seat.

3. Exterior design is compact and van-like.. make it very presentable.

4. Air con is silent and efficient in bringing the temperature down quickly.

5. Audio system.. Ony the driver and front pessenger can hear the system.. Need to install speakers at the back to allow sound at the back as well..

6. Handling is quite comfortable even w/o power steering.

7. Top speed currently I manage to get up to 110 km/hr

8. Spacious interior with rotatable middle seats.

That all I have for now.. Will update more about the the MPV ones I have more updates Afterall I have only drove it for two days...

Hariz learnt how to sit on his own

My baby Hariz is growing so fast that I have a hard time to keep pace with his development. Today, I discovered that he can sit on his own without any help from us. Before We knew it.. he might able to walk already....

Lunch at Sakura International buffet

Went to Lunch today at Sakura International Buffet at Jurong West Sport Centre. It was really good. Had a filled day eating there.. From Western food to Japanese sushi.. You can find a large variety of food there. Went there with my buddies, Sean and Chang Ching who has just came back from USA for a visit. Its great to see him again and definitely we manage to catch up quite a bit as well as eat our guts out!! Nice place to eat.. Highly Recommended!!

My old Neighbour's daughter's wedding

Went for this wedding luncheon at Bedok South Ave 3. As you can see this particular wedding is slightly different from other wedding as it was conducted at an open space with tents put up equip with fans and lights. It is quite grand and definitely quite expensive compared to those held below the void deck... The food was quite good. Really enjoy the 'makan' session there.. The place is nicely decorated and feels like an outdoor wedding events. Simple wonderful.

Different brand of milk for Babies

My baby Hariz is already past six months old... Initially we used NAN during his first six months and gradually we start using NAN 2. It was good in the begining until Hariz started to suffer from constipation.. He would pass motion once every two days and he has to really struggle to let his motion out.. Sometimes he would even cry when he needs to go.... We were worried and tried to use a different brand... We started to use MAMIL Gold 2.. the first two tin went off really well ..... Hariz has no longer difficulty passing motion and he is doing it once a day which is the norm for infant 6 mths... However, two days ago.. he began to pass motion more frequently eventhough there is no sign of him suffering from diarhea... We have to change diapers up to 5 times a day due to his frequent passing of motion.. We were worried as its continued for two days but he shows no sign of illness or diarhea.. Still so active despite passing motion more frequently and liquidified motions.... We decided to change for the third time to ISOMIL Advance 2.. So far his diarhea seem to have subside but his motions is more solidified.. ... .. Let hope ISOMIL can do the trick... I can only hope..
